A Sister Just For Me

Today I would like to say how thankful I am for my sister Briley, and the adventures we have gone through together. She's been in my life for 11 years and the memories we have made together are priceless. Of course we have disagreements and all different sorts of issues, but all siblings do. But we always find a way to forgive each other.

But now  pictures of some of the best adventures we've had together. *Warning there might be a lot of pictures* :)

Let's start with the all the times we've washed animals together in our bath tub. There's been dogs, goats, and chickens that have been scrubbed squeaky clean in there!
Dressing up in 50's costumes with you was fun!
And of course riding horses together with our best friends for your birthday.
And going to the Taylor Swift concert together was pretty epic!
And how we carefully planned out outfits together for that awesome night.
Oh and let's not forget getting our braces on! I'm so glad I had someone to share my pain with. XD
And those muddy days spent in the creek, carefree and happy.
Remember Disney Land? Gosh, we were so little.

Getting our cats together, boy they've been more work then we thought they would be!

Remember all the fun nights we've had in this tent?

Taking Piano lessons together. That reminds me, you need to practice!! :)

And trying on clothes together wishing we could have them.

Working on all our knitting together, I'll always be there to fix your problems. :)

And finally that Fourth of July weekend Probably one of the best times I've ever had.

These of course are only a handful of the adventures that we've had together. It would hours and hours to recount all the other wonderful times.

But always remember, a sister or a brother can be your best friend. You don't have to have tons of friends outside of your family. A sister or a brother will always be there for you, she'll/ he'll never leave you.
So remember Briley, I'll always be there for you. <3

Worrying

When I was younger I used to worry that something would happen to my brother, so I never let him out of my sight. literally. I used to  follow him around every single day, and if for some reason I had to be away from him I would start panicking. The only time I would feel relaxed is when he went to bed at night. Now, as I've grown older I still worry. But not nearly as much. I've realized that I really can't change anything, or protect anyone by worrying. I've also come to know that worrying is a sin. Only God can control the future, and no matter how much time I spend stressing myself isn't helping me, or anybody.

Even though it's 20 days in to the new year, I am going to make a resolution. To stop worrying. And I hope you do the same, because we both now it's for our own good.
XOXO,
Poppy

Finding Joy

Finding joy in not ideal situations can be a little tough. Like for example current gas prices. That's a lot of money for a gallon of gas, how could anyone find a good side of that? Instead thinking of the prices, what  did God gave you. What are you doing with the gas? You are filling up your car. Why do you need a car to fill with gas? So you don't have to walk everywhere. In every situation there's a silver lining.

Sometimes when I'm feeling, angry, sad, afraid, or hurt. I try to think of the good side. I think of what God has blessed me with, how I could be a light to someone, and how I can count it all joy.

When people see you smiling in bad situations, they want to know why you are. And when they ask, you can tell them, "Because I found joy through Jesus Christ."

Quiet People Have The Loudest Minds

'

I am a quiet person. One day I was scrolling through my Pintrest feed and came upon the quote above. It really inspired me because it's true. Quiet people have loud minds.
A lot of people are quiet for different reasons, maybe they're shy, maybe they are afraid they'll say the wrong thing or make a mistake. Sometimes I'm so quiet people think I'm not friendly. But I am friendly, just give me a chance. Next time you see a quiet person, don't ignore them like their ignoring you. Walk up and say hello. Because quiet people make some of the best friends you could ever have.
